Mangalore : Inter-Collegiate Events Synergy, Sygma Conclude at SDM College

Mangalore, Jan 29: The valedictory ceremony of ‘Synergy–2011’, annual national level management fest, and ‘Sygma’, state level IT fest, organized by SDM College of Business Management, was held in the college auditorium on Saturday January 29.
Rekha Kavoor, senior copy editor, Times of India, and Melvyn Rodrigues, director-operations, Daijiworld Media Pvt. Ltd, were the chief guests.
The programme started with the prayer song sung by Ananya. Kavoor, speaking on the occasion, termed the fest a symposium of talent. She also called upon the students to make use of valuable experience acquired through the management fest.
This year the events were based on the theme ‘Art of War’. Students from many reputed colleges across the country participated in the three-day fest.
Rodrigues stressed on the importance of team work in industry level management and said ‘synergy’ with quality should be the new mantra of future managers.
Participants expressed their opinions about their experience during the fest and many termed the fest unique compared to other college fests. Christ College, Bangalore, bagged the overall championship.
Student co-ordinator Vanditha D welcomed the gathering. Dr Devaraj K, principal, presided over the programme. Staff co-ordinators Jeevitha D and Arun Francis Sequeira, Anurag Prabhu K, Shrinidhi Chandra, and Karan Sanjay Gathani were present.
