Bantwal: ‘Schools will reopen on May 16’, reiterates minister B C Nagesh

Bantwal, May 7: Minister of Education B C Nagesh reiterated that schools will reopen on May 16 in order to improve the standard of education of children in schools and revive studies.

Speaking to reporters at Daddalakadu, Bantwal school on Saturday May 7, he said that the union minister also commended today the revival of education. “The nine months of education will be split into three parts for teaching. There will be efforts to improve the knowledge of arithmetic and to reduce the syllabus.

“School books will be distributed soon. The teaching of mother tongue is being stressed together with English. Experienced teachers are being appointed for it. Issues are being solved by appointing 27,000 guest teachers,” he said.

“The SSLC examination was completed smoothly. The results will be announced during the third week of May,” he added.

Teach children all the languages along with Kannada – Shobha Karandlaje

“Children in Karnataka need to be taught all the languages along with Kannada. It will be inevitable to make changes in the education system for it,” said Udupi MP, union minister Shobha Karandlaje. She was speaking after inaugurating two day long ‘Daddalakadu celebrations’, newly constructed 13 classrooms and study room, computer class and laboratory at Daddalakadu government English medium high school under the aegis of Durga Charitable trust Daddalakadu and Daddalakadu government English medium high school on Saturday evening, May 7.

“It is not right to restrict children from learning languages due to political reasons and campaigns. Let English and Hindi also be the part of the curriculum along with mother tongue. Kannada should also be given importance in the implementation of the centre's educational syllabus. The government spends crores of rupees on government schools. But it is necessary to introspect if those have succeeded in providing quality education. The mentality of teachers should change for quality education. Daddalakadu school has drawn the attention of the country. Teachers should work hard for it. Patriotism is necessary along with education. May the children who study here rise to great heights,” she wished.

Moral science once a week – B C Nagesh

Karnataka minister of education B C Nagesh who inaugurated the digital library and school website, said that there are plans to introduce moral science class once in a week in all the schools in the state. “Uniform education policy will be implemented in the 20 thousand first and second classes in the country as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts for children’s evolution. Indian education policy has made India independent. Education is essential to create history,” he said.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu who chaired the programme, said that the children who get education in village environments are rich and fortunate. He requested the education minister to solve the scarcity of teachers in Bantwal.

MLA Kuduchi P Rajiv giving a keynote address about India’s constitution said that Daddalakadu English medium school has opened our eyes. “I will set aside half of my salary for government school so long as I remain in politics. Bantwal people have got a pro development, creative MLA. His work for the progress of the constituency is amazing,” he said.

MLC S L Bhojegowda said that the children of elected representatives, industrialists and the elite should study in government schools.

Keonics corporation president Harikrishna Bantwal, Dakshina Kannada district BJP president Sudarshan M, Panjikallu gram panchayat president Sanjiva Poojary, Bantwal project authority president Devadas Shetty, KUWS director Sulochana Bhat G K, M R P L manager Sampath Rai, former chief minister’s special duty officer Jagannath Bangera Nirmal, Bantwal mandala BJP president Devappa Poojary, Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi S R, Dakshina Kannada BJP Yuva Morcha secretary Sudarshan Baja, entrepreneur Raghu Safalya, block education officer Jnanesh and others were on the dais. Daddalakadu founder teacher Sanjiva Gowda Panjikallu and gram panchayat PDO Vidya were felicitated.

Children’s dances and the Telikeda Gonchal programme was held at night as part of a cultural programme.

Durga charitable trust president Prakash Anchan gave an introduction and welcomed. High school SDMC president Purushotham Anchan was present. School headmaster Ramananda rendered a vote of thanks. Teachers Anita, Bhavyashree and Netra compered the programme.

    These uneducated ministers are making life hell for students. Extremely unscientific in their outlook and creating burdens for students. The whole country is boiling with summer heat and poor children have to suffer.
