Bengaluru, Jul 31: A high level meeting will be convened shortly to decide on upgrading Ayush health services and other indigenous meditation systems, Higher Education and IT/BT Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan said in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Participating the Jijnasa National Health Festival, he said the rapid growth in the satellite communication technology must be put to productive use for the benefit of the people.
Dr Narayan said the ruling governments headed by BJP at the Centre and in State have the necessary will power and commitment to bring about positive changes. However, efforts must be made to ensure that the benefits of scientific research must reach the ordinary people at affordable costs.
The minister stressed the need for larger investments in the Ayush health system as it had a large market potential, which could be put to productive use and empower society.
Jijnasa Chief Dr Allama Prtabhu and Senior Officer Niranjana Murthy were among the dignitaries who attended the conference.
