Udupi: Women to Discuss Spirituality at Harikhandige on May 15

Udupi, May 11: A women’s conference will be held at Shri Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra, Harikhandige on May 15 on the sidelines of the Ati Rudra Yaaga, which is set to begin from Thursday May 12.
 

At this conference, issues relating to women and spirituality will be dicussed, the topic for which is “Women and Spiritual Life”.

Many noted women speakers are expected to take part in the issue and they are expected to deal with the problems being faced by them when they attempt to embark on aspiritual path.

The Ati Rudra Yaaga is expected to be attended by priests from Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka, and will end with a Maha Poonrahuti on May 22.

The highlights of this Yaaga is Rudrajapa parayana, Rudra Havana, Rudra Homa, etc. Guruji Suresh J. Pai.

Shri Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra at Harikhandige, about 22 kms from Udupi, is nestled among hills and forests, and is a known spiritual centre. Apart from the main temple of Goddess Shri Mahalasa Narayani, the unique Datta Peetha at the Kshetra attracts many devotees who are on the sadhana marga or spiritual path.

The kshetra was envisaged and established by Guruji Suresh J Pai, a former lecturer at a commerce college in Panaji, Goa, and now spiritual leader to hundreds of devotees.
