Bantwal: MLA Rajesh Naik holds discussions with officials to prevent accidents on national highways

Bantwal, Nov 3: As frequent accidents have been occurring at various places on B C Road – Punjalkatte national highway, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik visited the spots on Thursday evening and held discussions over taking suitable measures to prevent them. He visited in the company of officials the portion of highway to Punjalkatte, Moodbidri and the spot joining the highway from Bantwal market.

Accidents have been happening here almost daily resulting in loss of lives sometimes. The MLA directed officials to take stern legal measures.

 

He directed officials to erect signboards warning motorists about the dangers and also install signal lights and reflectors as per the rules of the highways.

Buda president B Devadas Shetty, DySP Pratap Singh Thorat, KSRTC depot manager Srisha Bhat, AEE in-charge Mahabala Nayak, assistant engineer Keerthi Amin, town police station SI Avinash, traffic police station SP Murthy, Contractor Company’s Damodar, BJP block president Devappa Poojary, Ravish Shetty Karkala, Dombaya Arala, Purushotham Shetty Vamadapadav, Sudarshan Baja, Vishwanath Chandtimar, Ganesh Rai Mani and others were present.
