Mangaluru Nov 3: ‘Stories by Dhruv,’ a childrens illustrated book written by Raksha and her son Master Dhruv Jain was released by Dr Vindhya Pai and Maria D’Costa on October 30 at the TBA Literature Fest at Bharath Academy.

The book has a collection of seven stories, which was originally written by Dhruv during the pandemic lockdown in the summer of 2020. His stories were further elaborated and written in a rhyming verse by his mother Raksha; thus adding her own twist to the tales while retaining the original plot and characters imagined by her son.

‘Stories by Dhruv’ is filled with tales of endearing friendships, dauntless bravery, nature conservation and humor all woven together in beautiful words and illustrations taking the readers to the world of ‘lazy bee’s and ‘talking tea cups. The words were further illustrated by a Mangalore based graphic artist Akshay Artopia.

The book is published by Pegasus Publishers, UK. It is now available online at Amazon, Flipkart and will also be available soon at the local book stores.

About the author – Raksha and Dhruv

Based in coastal city of Mangaluru, Raksha is a person filled with paradoxes. She loves the beach but hates the sand sticking between her toes. Likes yoga, she is an interior designer, aspiring writer, yoga enthusiast and above all a mother.

Dhruv often feels there is too little time to read all the books he loves. One can find him reading comics, drawing, crafting or doing the most important thing – starting into space and reflecting on his thoughts. He is deeply sensitive to nature and environment and often wishes for a cleaner planet.
