Bantwal, Nov 7: A man was insulted regarding his religious faith, assaulted and issued death threats here. A police complaint in this connection was registered at Vitla police station.

Perialthadka resident Pijina has been assaulted by two brothers and their friend. Pijina was returning from a shop when a person named Adarsh, his brother Rakesh and their friend Krishnappa allegedly insulted the faith of Pinjna, assaulted him and threatened to kill him.

Pinjina, who suffered injuries in the assault is undergoing treatment at Puttur government hospital.
