Mangaluru: Technical snag – One flight cancelled, another delayed at MIA

Mangaluru, Nov 11: Passengers faced inconvenience as flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru were delayed at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at Bajpe.

The flight which was scheduled to Mumbai got delayed by six hours. Technical snag is said to have caused the inordinate delay of both flights.

In the flight that was supposed to fly to Bengaluru, passengers on board were made to alight at the last moment. After two hours, they were asked to board the flight and made to alight again. At last, as the issue could not be resolved, the flight was cancelled. Minister Sunil Kumar was also supposed to fly to Bengaluru in this flight. However, he travelled by the 10 pm flight later.

Indigo airlines official said that the flights got delayed due to technical snag. Sometimes due to unavoidable reasons, this situation occurs according to the statement of the airlines official.
