Udupi: Now Vidyapeeta for Puttige Mutt in Canada

Udupi, May 15: Puttige Mutt will soon have its own vidyapeeta in Canada near Niagra falls, a unit of Puttige Vidyapeeta in Hiriyadka.

Speaking to media persons, mutt seer Sri Sugunendrateertha Swamiji said that the institution will offer an opportunity of education in Ritwik vocation for students abroad. Students who have undergone thread ceremony aged 10 to 16 are eligible to seek admission in the institution. The institution will also get recognition from Canadian government shortly, he added.

A building worth Rs 2 crore has been purchased for the purpose. In the beginning as many as 50 students will be accommodated.
