Moodbidri, May 24: “One should not worry about death, which is inevitable, and should instead focus energies on achieving goals in life”, said Swami Esha Vittaldas of Kemaru Sandipani Sadhana Ashram.
He was speaking after inaugurating the spacious stage that was built as a tribute to 22/5 Mangalore air crash victim Jayaprakash Devadiga by Padumarnad Yuvak Mandal and Prajna Yuvati Mandal here on Sunday May 22.

Speaking on the occasion, Mangalore lawyer and local school correspondent M R Ballal said that the authorities of Air India Express (AIE) are insisting that the bereaved families of the crash victims accept whatever compensation they have named without following the international norms.

Bhaskar Kotian presided over the programme. Former state minister K Amarnath Shetty, former ZP member K P Jagdish Adhikari, M Yuvaraj Ballal, Prabhakar Devadiga, Krishna Devadiga, Sunita Shetty, Rajani, Ramesh Shetty, and Sasikala were present on the dais.

Raj Musical Group staged a devotional musical programme as a tribute to Jayaprakash Devadiga.
Sources close to Jayaprakash Devadiga’s family said that AIE has awarded a compensation of Rs 10 lac while the lawsuit for higher compensation is in court.
