Mangalore: District Congress Observes Nehru's Death Anniversary

Mangalore, May 27:
Dakshina Kannada district Congress president, Bantwal MLA Ramanath Rai and MLA U T Khader were among a host of leaders who paid floral tributes to the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his 47th death anniversary in district Congress office on Friday May 27.

Ramanath Rai said that Nehru who had struggled a great deal to win freedom for the nation had also experienced imprisonment. He also took drastic steps and made the country economically and socially secure.
 
Congress leaders Arun Coelho, T K Sudheer, Nagendra Kumar, Padmanabha Naringana, Prabhakar Shreeyan, Mohan Mendon, Santhosh Shetty, Farooq Ullal, Nagaveni, Vrinda Poojary among others were present.
