Mangalore, May 29: Five teams comprising senior police officials to track down youth involved in Thursday's shoot-out on Suresh Bhandary of Prathvi Builders in Kadri Park have been formed under the leadership of Kadri police station inspector and guidance of deputy commissioner of police Mutturaya, said police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh.

Singh who suspects the attack to be the handiwork of local rowdies said that the teams will also look into the various angles to the case ranging from extortion to business rivalry.

Commissioner expressed the confidence that the investigations will bring out the motive behind the shoot-out.

Bannanje Raja Behind Shootout?

Meanwhile, it is learnt that a person identifying himself as Bannanje Raja had called the landline number of Bhandary's house a while after the attack and told his son who picked the phone that he was calling from Malaysia. If your dad has died in the shoot-out bring his body back home, if not admit him to the hospital, the called had added.

The assailant could have shot at Bhandary while taking a stroll at the park around 7.45 pm, instead the shooter opted to attack Bhandary after he sat inside the car which gives room to suspicion that it was just an attack to threaten Bhandary and extory money thereby.
