JD-S to Boycott Karnataka Assembly Session

Bangalore, May 31 (PTI) Opposition JD-S in Karnataka decided to boycott the state Legislature Session beginning June 2, demanding resignation of Assembly speaker K G Bopaiah and Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in view of the Supreme Court strictures against them while setting aside the order of disqualification of 16 MLAs.

The JD-S legislature party which met here on May 30, resolved to stay away from the session and hold mock Legislature proceedings across the state, condemning the 'attitude' of Bopaiah and Yeddyurappa.

"The Supreme Court has rapped the Chief Minister and the speaker. Neither the BJP or the government has taken any action against them. What is the use of attending the session?", state unit JD-S president and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy asked while briefing reporters after the meeting.

    So that all the looters like Mr Yeddi, Eshwarappa, Ananthkumar, reddy and Co so on can peacefully loot entire state and still no one will point out that they have done that, Great comments from all my beloved friends. I do not know which worls have they come from who do not know what is the ground reality in karnataka

    It is most welcome decision by JDS...since this party has no constructive role as a opposition party,it is better to boycott for another two years instead of disturbing the house business,it is better to keep on demanding the resignation of Governor..PM... ministers too..for another two years.Uncultured, stupid, corrupt, jobless politicians.

    IF JD-S BOYCOTT ASSEMBLY SESSION IT IS MOST WELCOME DECISION IN THE INTEREST OF BOTH CM AS WELL AS STATE. TO START WITH HAVERI ISSUE JD-S TRIED ITS BEST TO REJECT PEOPLES MANDATE BUT ALL IN VAIN.
    NOW TO ALLOW THE CONGRESS TO BE REAL OPPSN. AND ACT RESPONSIBLY JD-S HAS TO GO OUT FOR EVER.

    It is a welcome decision by JDS to boycott the State Legislature Session.
    My honest opinion is that JDS should keep away from all the forthcoming sessions to run the Legislature House smoothly.
