Udupi, Jun 3: "Today, English medium schools are being set up in every village. Starting a school is easy but managing it is a difficult task indeed. Co-ordination among the school managing committee, teachers, and parents of students will enable a school to efficiently progress," said K P Acharya, correspondent, Vidhyaniketan Group of Education Institutions, Kaup.

He was speaking after inaugurating the newly-begun Durgadevi English Medium School at Paniyoor, near here, on Thursday June 2.

"In the IT era, the parents of students think that their duty is done after they admit their children to school. However, if the parents realize that their responsibility truly begins after sending their children to school, it will help every student to aspire to get good grades," he added.

Belapu gram panchayat president Deviprasad Shetty was the chief guest on the occasion who said that schools in the rural villages are imparting quality education in proximity to nature.

Mulky Vijaya College retired professor Raghuram Rao said that it was a much awaited demand of locals to begin an English medium school in Paniyoor, which was realized with the assistance of locals and with the contributions of his brother Dr Rammohan Rao who is settled in the USA.

Paniyoor Durgadevi Higher Primary School correspondent B Mohan Rao, school betterment committee president Prafulla Shetty Yelluruguttu, Paniyoor Milk Producers’ Cooperative Society president Dinesh Shetty Kunjoor, member Vishvanath Rao, and advisor Ramdas Bhat were present on the dais.
School headmaster Sadhoo M compered the programme.
