Mangalore: Films on Environment to be Screened at SAC on June 6

Mangalore, Jun 3: Under the aegis of the Mangalore chapter of the Association of British Scholars, Pilikula Regional Science Centre Society, St Aloysius Pre-University College, and Bellimandala Film Society, films related to environmental awareness will screened at Loyola Hall, St Aloysius Pre-University College, on Monday June 6 after 2 pm. 

The screening, dedicated to ‘World Environment Day’, is aimed at educating the youth and the public on the need to preserve the environment.

Deputy conservator of forest Dr Vijayakumar will inaugurate the programme here on Monday.

Pilikula Regional Science Centre Society director Dr K V Rao will be the chief guest on the occasion. St Aloysius Pre-University College principal Professor John D’Silva will be the guest of honour.

Yenepoya School principal Dr C K Manjunath will be the moderator for the discussions on environment.

Association of British Scholars Mangalore Chapter president Dr K V C Shet will preside over the programme.

Three films –‘The Man Who Stopped the Desert’, ‘Wild: The Coral Gardener’, and ‘The Miracle Water Village’, will be screened during the programme.
