Udupi, Feb 21: “Expedite 94CC applications submitted in Brahmavar taluk limits soon,” said deputy commissioner Kurma Rao M to the tahsildar.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Jilladhikarigala Nade Hallia Kade programme held at Kachuru Malthidevi auditorium on Tuesday, February 21.
The DC who examined the applications received from people under 94CC and for sites asked the tahsildar to expedite as per rules on priority basis.
The villagers submitted more than 60 requests to change the rusted electric cables, development of road and drainages, construction of footbridges across ponds, permission for cultivation, break wall for lake, prevent salt water seeping to agricultural land and complained about trash joining the river.
The DC who received the complaints directed the officers on the spot to solve the issues and provide necessary facilities to the people.
Meanwhile, school kits were distributed by the labour welfare board to the children of registered construction workers.
Barkur gram panchayat president Shantaram Shetty said that 117 people are without sites and there is scarcity of land. Sites can be issued at Hosala grama as there is land there. As Barkur gram panchayat is a historic place and has ancient artifacts, special land should be identified to collect and store them, he said.
Zilla panchayat chief executive Prasanna H, Kundapur sub division officer Rashmi, district labour officer Kumar, Brahmavar taluk panchayat executive Ibrahimpura, Kachur Malthidevi temple trustee Shivappa, district level implementation officers were present.
Ayushman Bharat card registration, free health check-ups by Ayush department, E Shram registration from labour department and Pradhan Mantri Shramayogi Man Dhan camps were held on the spot.
Brahmavar tahsildar Rajashekar Murthi welcomed.
