Bantwal: Woman, paramour strangle her husband to death, arrested

Bantwal, Feb 28: A woman and her paramour were arrested by police for allegedly strangling her husband to death.

The deceased is identified as Aravinda Bhaskara (39), a resident of Idkidu Kumeru. His wife Asha and her paramour Yogish Gowda, who did centering work of their new house are the accused arrested by thepolice.

Aravinda was building a new house since two years. Centering work of the same was given in contract to Yogish Gowda. Asha, wife of Aravinda and Yogish got friendly and reportedly started having an affair.

Asha was not happy as her husband Aravinda was lavishly spending money that he had received from sale of arecanut. Both Yogish and Asha used to assault Aravinda every day. Aravinda used to lock his  room before sleeping every night since a month. He had informed this matter to his friends.

On February 26 morning, Asha called her father and said that her husband Aravinda, who slept in his room at 10 pm the previous night is not waking up. Later, when Aravinda was taken to Vittal primary health centre, the doctor confirmed that he is dead. On close examination it was noticed that Aravinda was strangled to death. Police arrested the duo immediately.
