Kasargod, Jun 18: Narayana Madva (32), a photographer from Varkady here committed suicide by jumping into the well.
The deceased was the owner of Soorya Digital Studio and a resident of Madva, Kodlamogaru Daigoli near Varkady.
The body was found in an open well near his residence on Saturday June 18. Madva was last seen on Friday June 17 when he left to his studio. His body was traced into the well on suspicion after his footwear was seen floating.
The reason behind the extreme act by Madva is yet to be ascertained. However, it is learnt that he was depressed as he had been suffering from ulcer.
Fire personnel were summoned to fish the body out.
He is survived by Amana Moolya (father), Sundari (mother), Ramakrishna (brother), Saroja and Lalitha (sisters).
