Mangalore: Monsoon Weakens Across Coast

Mangalore, Jun 20: Most parts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts had sunny weather on Sunday June 19. Some rains were however, reported from Subrahmanya. Showers were also experienced in Beltangady, Puttur, Sullia and the city in between.

Agricultural activities in the twin-districts are yet to gain momentum because of lack of sufficient rain.

Bhagamandala in Kodagu district received four cms of rain, heaviest in the state. A release from the meteorological department valid till Tuesday morning has predicted light to normal rains in some places located on Karnataka coast, and some areas in southern hinterlands.
