Kundapur: ‘Law and Order Machinery in State has Collapsed’ – Oscar

Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Jun 20: “Law and order machinery in the state is in shambles. The citizens are facing a situation in which they find it hard to trust one another. The situation is so bad that even those who have no faith in the judicial system are beckoning the gods to vouch for their integrity. There can be no better example to prove that political system in the state has touched new lows,” said Rajya Sabha member and Congress leader, Oscar Fernandes.

He was speaking after inaugurating the awareness campaign of the party at Nada-Guddeangady in the taluk, which was held as part of the state-wide awareness campaign launched by the party.

“Congress is committed to fight against corruption and ensure that people get justice. The state government is trying to project a number of schemes implemented by the centre as its own. There is a need for the Congress workers to see through this plan and render this conspiracy futile,” he said.

District Congress president, K Gopal Poojary, presided. He said that the BJP government has done nothing but trying to claim the central schemes as its own. He blamed the BJP of rising to power by giving false promises to the people.

MLC Pratapchandra Shetty, former district Congress president, M A Gafoor, and various other leaders were present.
