Mangalore, Jun 25: Dakshina Kannada district Bharatiya Janata Party Yuvamorcha and Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat held protests demanding ban on the activities of Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD). While BJP Yuvamorcha protested in front of the office of the deputy commissioner, the ABVP voiced their dissent near Besant circle here.

The protestors claimed that the police inquiry has proved the involvement of KFD in the abduction and murder of two Hunsur-based students, the communal clashes in Kyatamaranahalli, Mysore in the recent past and communal riots in the city four years ago. They also alleged that the direct involvement of KFD in the murder of BJP leader from Mulky, Sukhanand Shetty, had also become apparent.

The organizations have been demanding the ban from past many years as the KFD members' names have also popped up in various cases related murder, burglary, robbery and communal clashes among others.
