Raichur: Yeddyurappa Takes On Centre against Diesel Price Hike

Raichur, Jun 25: Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa also joined the tirade of non-Congress state CMs blasting central government for hiking Rs 3 per litre of diesel.

Addressing a public programme here on Saturday June 25, Yeddyurappa said that the centre has been following anti-poor policy and hence has no moral right to continue in power. The price of fuel has seen a rise frequently during the regime he said and warned of a statewide protest if the prices of diesel, LPG and kerosene are not revised with
immediate effect.

Meanwhile, state BJP plans to take to streets in a protest against petrol price hike. The people in places such as Hubli, Shimoga and Bijapur are already showing intense protest. It is learnt that main reason for people's outrage is rise in LPG price and kerosene, the
basic need of the people.

Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and other BJP ruled states have already expressed outrage on fuel price hike.

    petrol price is highest in karnataka in the country. hope govt takes a serious look at reducing state taxes.kerala and w b have already done it recently.for mangaloreans it make ense to fill up tank at talapady. there is 3 rs difference.

    Anyhow,Govt will not going to ease or revise the price policy of LPG but at least ur Govt(Yeddyurappa)should take some steps on it and provide a more subsidy for KArnataka people,Agitation or strike is not the ultimate solution for this...ur efforts will really appreciated and considered if central fail to curb the inflation,then state Govt provides some kind of relief to the people of karnataka.

    H.E.CM of Karnataka why can't you forfeit some % duties on Petro-Products as did by your counter part in WB(Cooking gas duty cut down and their by consumers will get RS 401/= for a Cylinder of cooking Gas and In Kerala Petrol price down by RS 1.25...both states are ruled by non BJP Govt)Mr Yeddy before showing finger @ center do something in Karnataka which is in your hand.
