Mangalore: Marie Aranha Case - Corpse Sent for Medical Examination

Mangalore, Jun 26: The corpse of Marie Augustin Aranha (76), who was found dead at her residence in Kadri Hills on June 23, was sent for medical examination on June 25.

The decision regarding disposal of the body will be taken once the medical examintion ends, which may take another week.

Marie Aranha was living alone since her husband died ten years ago. The only relative of the deceased is her sister Jessy Towers residing in Kadri.

Marie was not in good terms with Jessy and any of her relatives, hence none visited her house, sources said.

Marie's relatives said that it was Marie who had avoided them.

    Now Mrs aranha is Dead & gone(may her soul rest in peace) she is not here to talk her side of the story... who was avoiding whom... and why it happend.. My mum says she was a good person......she must be mentally ill as well and In India no one know about Mental & psychological illnesses... I really pity her... very sad.. more than 4 months is a very long time to ignore a person...sad.... i hope her property goes to ppl who look after elderly so other old ppl dont go through what she suffered in her life...
