Mangalore: RMS Mail Service Driver Killed in Accident

Mangalore, Jun 27: The driver of an RMS Mail Service vehicle of the department of posts died, after his vehicle hit Kulur Bridge in the city on Sunday  June 26 evening.

The vehicle was moving towards the city from Bykampady, when the vehicle that was negotiating the Kulur Bridge took an abrupt turn to the right and hit the protective wall of the bridge. The driver, identified as Ramakrishna, died instantly. Panambur police reached the spot later, and shifted the body to district Wenlock Hospital.

The policemen said they faced problems in identifying the body as he was the lone occupant of the vehicle. They said he was identified later with the help of a mobile phone found in his possession. They revealed that they had not received any complaint in this connection.
