Very sad news indeed! I had been to the Malpe Beach about 10 years ago and had experienced swimming in the ocean. I found it was quite safe then mainly because it was the summer season. Now that the monsoon is on with full swing and the sea is very choppy, rough, and full of turmoil, I would not dare to go anywhere near the water. Beach goers, therefore, please be aware of this situation and do not venture into the sea as it is very unpredictable and dangerous.
