Anushka's Wealth to be Probed by IT Officials

Mumbai, Jun 28: Anushka Sharma, who was detained by the customs officials for not declaring an imported item, may have been allowed to proceed from the Mumbai airport, but her troubles are far from over.

She had been detained on her return from Toronto by the Mumbai airport customs for not declaring imported jewellery in her possession, but was later let off after she filled in relevant documents.

The actor will now be quizzed by the officials of the income tax department over her wealth.

Sources said she was found with jewellery worth Rs 35 lac including gold and diamond ornaments two watches at the airport, but Anushka claimed she had taken them from India and had declared the jewellery on the way to Toronto.
 
She had been grilled by the customs for nearly nine hours, and now will face another session with the IT officials.
