Mangaluru: Traffic police remove pipes that rolled over onto road from loaded lorry

Mangaluru, April 3: Large water pipes which were removed during the construction of NH 66 Gorigudda service road fell onto the road on Thokkottu flyover from the lorry that was shifting them on Sunday.

The incident happened when Navyug Company was shifting old pipes from Gorigudda to store them at Talapady toll gate. The rope tied to the pipes on the lorry broke loose and the pipes rolled on to the road.

 

As the incident happened on Sunday evening and Ramadan fast was being observed, there was no traffic and loss of lives and property was averted.

Navyug Company with the help of Mangaluru south traffic police removed the pipes that rolled over on to the flyover.
