Puttur: Denial of ticket - Matandoor's supporters take BJP dist president to task

Puttur, Apr 13: Supporters of disgruntled MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor expressed their discontentment with BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri for denying a BJP ticket to Matandoor in the upcoming legislative assembly elections in the state.

The supporters voiced their anger while Moodbidri visited Matandoor's residence to persuade him to work for the party. The party workers intercepted BJP leaders Captain Ganesh Karnik and Sudarshan Moodbidri.

"Why was Sanjeeva Matandoor denied a BJP ticket? Do the decisions of district representatives hold no value? Why do you continue in your post? Matandoor has accomplished numerous development works and has toiled day and night for the party. Why has he been sidelined?" they questioned.

The party workers claimed that there is no value for a sincere worker in BJP and that they will not work for the party. They urged Moodbidri to campaign for the victory of the party's candidate instead.
