Udupi: 'Shadadhara' Religious Celebrations Held Ahead of Vishnumurti Temple Fundraiser

Udupi, Jul 16: 'Shadadhara' religious celebrations were held ahead of the of fund-raising programme at Vishnumurti temple, Shirva, near here on Friday July 15, in the presence of Swami Vidhyavallabateerta of Kaniyoor Mutt. The temple is being renovated at a cost of Rs 3 crore.

Swami Vidhyavallabateerta, in his message to the devotees, said that temples are like a crown to a village, and the people living in that village get blessed by renovating the ancient temples. Divine Grace is essential for one to succeed in life. “If everyone contributes to renovating the temples, spiritual bliss will shine upon the people,” said Swami Vidhyavallabateerta.

Bangalore-based M R G Group of Companies chairman and managing director K Prakash Shetty, after inaugurating the fund-raising programme, said that he’s fortunate to be born in Tulunadu where there exists a strong belief in God and goddesses besides the blessings of elders among the coastal residents. “One cannot live without Divine Grace. If one sets aside one-tenth of the total annual income for contributing to education, religious and social service, he / she would be blessed abundantly by God,” he added.

Renowned Vastu expert and temple chief priest Brahmashree Derebail Harikrishna Tantri presided over the religious meet.

Mumbai hotelier and Krishna Palace Group owner Krishna Y Shetty released the temple renovation contracts papers.

Mumbai Hotel Prasad founder Krishna D Shetty, temple priest Vedamurti Haridas Aithal, and temple trustee Shankar Hegde were present on the dais.

The temple renovation committee chief secretary Mattar Ratnakar Hegde welcomed the gathering. President and Mumbai entrepreneur Shirva Nadibettu Nityanand Hegde delivered the introductory address. Committee member Sacchidanand Hegde compered the programme while Srinivas Rao proposed the vote of thanks.
