Mumbai, Jun 29: M V Kini (80), well known legal expert, senior advocate hailing from Moodubelle, Udupi, passed away at Hinduja hospital, Mahim here on Wednesday, June 28 after a brief illness.

He was the member of the advocate’s committee of the Airports Authority of India and was leading intellectual in airports travel.

He served his clients for more than 35 years and was an expert in hearings of white collar crimes. He has furthered high level actions unearthing financial scams and cheating cases in national and private banks.

He started the M V Kini Law Firm office in Mumbai in 1978 and was serving people across the country with more than 150 employees. He had his head office by the name Kini Associates at Mumbai VT. He was also a social worker and was the vice president of GSB Samaja Mumbai south division. He was the joint coordinator of GSB Seva Mandal Ganeshotsava committee and was the donor for several temples in South India and Mumbai. He was extending monetary help for education and sickness needs. He was donating money for the education of Adivasi children in Karjat area.

He has left behind his son Ravichandra V Kini, daughter Vinita and a large number of friends and relatives. His last rites were performed in the morning today at Parsiwada crematorium, Andheri east.
