Mangaluru: Moolageni Vokkalu Rakshana Vedike writes to minister urging to implement Act

Mangaluru, Jul 22: Molageni Vokkalu Rakshana Vedike has written to Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Gundu Rao urging to implement the Moolageni Act.

Referring to writ petition No, 11158/13, 62434/201 (L.R.) filed at the high court on behalf of the government, the vedike secretary Sandesh Prabhu stated that the vedike had submitted the appeal to implement the Act which was pronounced by Justice Krishna Dixit on May 22, 2023.

Senior advocate B V Acharya and senior advocate B L Acharya appeared on behalf of the government and senior advocate A G Holla and advocate Nandeesh Bhushan were present on behalf of the vedike during the pronouncement.

“We appeal to district in-charge minister Gundu Rao along with former MLC Ivan D’Souza for quick implementation of the Act at the earliest. Thousands of moolgenidars of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district are waiting for its implementation,” he wrote.
