Mangaluru, Jul 23: Career Guidance programme is a path where it helps the child to choose a right direction in their life. Keeping this aspect, the Catholic Sabha Valencia organised a career guidance programme for the children of class 8th,9th,10th,11th and 12th along with their parents on Sunday, July 23 at 9.15 am at the church conference hall.
The programme began with lighting of the lamp by the guest.
The mentor and speaker for the programme was Dr Ananth Prabhu Gurpur, professor in the department of computer science and engineering at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management.
The speaker beautifully explained how to decide on what one wants to be in their life. He also stressed on the top 10 fields where the students can explore presently and where they will have a vast scope in the near future. He also gave some learning tips to the children to implement in their daily studies. He briefed on the competitive exams during the session.
Spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Valencia, Fr Roque D'Sa, Catholic Sabha Valencia president Noel Menezes, secretary Nancy D'Souza, Episcopal City Deanery Catholic Sabha president Steevan Rodrigues, Parish Council vice-president Ronald Rodrigues, secretary Rita Menezes, MCC Bank Ltd chairman Anil Lobo and members of Catholic Sabha Valencia Unit were present during the programme.
Around 200 children along with their parents attended the session.
