Kundapur, Jul 24: A minor girl, who was tending cows, along with her grandmother by the side of a rivulet, accidentally slipped and fell into the rivulet and died at Badabailu of Shedimane village under Amasebailu police station limits on Sunday.
Rachana (13), daughter of Badabailu Prabhakara Shetty, is the unfortunate victim of this tragedy. Rachana stopped schooling after fourth grade as she was suffering from mental illness and used to tend cows along with her grandmother.
On Sunday at around 11 am when Rachana was tending cows along with her grandmother Sadhamma Shedthi, she fell into Gangada Bailu rivulet and got washed away to a distance of two km. Her mortal remains were found at Mundubailu of Shedimane village.
A case is filed at Amasebailu police station.
