Mangaluru: Shikpa Ayog, Omzoor organises career guidance programme

Mangaluru, Jul 24: Career guidance can help children identify their careers that match their skills, interests, and personality. Keeping this in mind, Shikpa Ayog, Omzoor organised a career guidance programme for the children of class 5 to 10 along with their parents on Sunday, July 23 at Sabha Bhavan, Omzoor.

Gyaral Milton Lobo, secretary of Shikpa Ayog welcomed the gathering. Training began with a prayer song. Fr Alwyn D'Souza, parish priest addressed the gathering.

Assistant professor Alwyn D'Souza, faculty member of St Aloysius College was the resource person for the training session. He gave a motivational talk on ICS, UPSC, civil services and government jobs. He briefed on the competitive exams during the session. He also beautifully explained on how to prepare for the competitive exams.

Fr Alwyn Dcunha, parish priest, vice president of parish pastoral council Arthur D'Souza, secretary of Parish Pastoral Council Dafny Lewis, church commissions co-ordinator Elroy Saldanha, and Br Rajath were present during the programme.

Milton Lobo proposed vote of thanks. Around 100 participants including students and their parents participated in the training session.
