Mangaluru, Jul 24: “Speaker U T Khader has behaved in a manner in the state assembly that has put the voters of his constituency in shame. In addition to playing revenge politics in the district, the MLAs of Dakshina Kannada are insulted. By involving in party activities, the speaker has brought dishonour to the chair of the speaker,” said former vice president of zilla panchayat Satish Kumpala.

Satish spoke at the press conference that was organized at Thokottu. He further said, “It is the responsibility of the opposition parties to condemn that act of giving security to people's representatives changing the responsibilities of IAS officers. But the speaker, who has the responsibility of behaving constitutionally, has behaved in a manner that is required by the Congress party. This is condemnable.

“Anti-communal force is formed in the district of Dakshina Kannada only to suppress Hindu youths. It is condemnable to have externed three Hindu youths from the district. The acts of the Congress government are instigating communal violence.

“I have never heard any political party announcing guarantees after putting pre-election conditions. However, now the government is making people run from pillar to post in order to get the freebies. All the freebies given by the Congress government are from the taxpayers’ money and not from their party fund.

“By increasing the milk price by Rs three per liter the government has given a big shock to the public. Giving from one hand and taking from another is the attitude of Congress. Within five days the prices of household items have increased. If inflation is not reduced, protesting on streets is inevitable,” he said.

Santhosh Rai Boliyar, vice president of BJP said, “State Congress is behaving like the autocratic British. Only because certain people are members of an organization without involving in rape, murder or theft, they are externed. Cannot imagine what will happen in the next five years. BJP condemns the externment of Hindu youths. If the revenge politics of the state Congress continues, we will get down to the streets and protest. What kind of government is this which insults PM Modi while MLA Vedavyasa Kamath was speaking about the budget? How are they going to fulfil the guarantees with long queues of women, scrambling for free bus, server issues? Speaker should remember that he is not a member of any party. If the atrocities continue, we will get down to the streets and protest.”

Leaders Yashwant Amin, Jeethendra Shetty Talapady and Hemant Shetty Deralakatte were present.
