Mangalore, Aug 9: The local unit of Akhila Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) held a rasta roko at Bunts Hostel circle here on Tuesday August 9 at 11 am.

The rasta roko is a part of a nationwide protest condemning the central government led by UPA for abetting corruption.

The leaders and members of Mangalore unit of ABVP gathered in large numbers to form a human chain and blocked the road for about 15 minutes.

Speaking on the occasion ABVP organizing secretary Ramesh said that the Janlokpal bill should be implemented, black money invested in foreign banks should be brought back to India and lavish expenditure on elections in the country should be minimized. He stressed that the CBI and COD investigative agencies should be made to function liberally and more power should be given to Lokayukta.

He urged that Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit should resign from her post as the CAG report had already indicted her in Commonwealth Games scam. Moreover, the ABVP demanded the resignation of the officials in the PMO as well as of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as both have been directly charged of acts of corruption. He said that only youth power can find a solution for all the mess created by the UPA government.

Manohar, student president of Ramakrishna College, leaders Mithesh, Parvathi, Mahesh G among others took part.

THE ABVP IS JUST SPOIING THE STUDENTS CARRIER BY TELLING THEM TO PROTEST. STUDENTS SHOULD BE THOUGHT TO STUDY AND TO MAKE A GOOD FUTURE. POLITICIANS POLITICISE EVERY ISSUE AND MAKE STUDENTS ALSO SCAPGOATS. THIS IS WRONG. THE SC SHOULD BAN BAJRANGDAL, ABVP, RAM SENA, SHIV SENA AND RSS. ALL THESE ARE SPOILING PEACE AND HARMOEY IN THE COUNTRY.POLITICIANS CANNOT SOLVE THEIR OWN PROBLEMS AND NOW THEY WANT YOUGSTERS TO JOIN THEM TO PROTEST. THIS IS VERY BAD. BJP IS TRYING TO POLITICISE EVERY ISSUE. CORRUPTION WHERE IT IS NOT THERE. IT IS THERE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. NO ONE CAN REMOVE IT. EVEN THE GOD'S.

Why worry about Central Govt, when there is lot of corruption in local corporation and State Govt. Why do political parties use these young students for their benefits. Its time these students realize the hidden agenda behind these rallies orgainized by political parties and support people like Santosh Hegde and Anna Hazare..
