Bantwal, Aug 30: On August 27, the Deva Matha Youth Movement (ICYM), Mogarnad unit, embarked on a heartwarming journey of compassion and unity. The destination two esteemed orphanages in Bejai. This day proved to be more than a visit; it was an experience filled with laughter, meaningful interactions, and a strong sense of community.
The day commenced with a visit to Chinnara Tangudhama Orphanage, where 24 eager young souls awaited the arrival of the ICYM members. What unfolded was an array of enriching activities that left a lasting impact. The ambiance resonated with action songs, accompanied by the delightful sound of children's laughter. Unique games were conducted, igniting an atmosphere of enthusiasm and joy.
Demonstrating their creative flair, the ICYM members presented a captivating skit that not only entertained but also imparted valuable life lessons. Melodious songs echoed within the orphanage walls, infusing the gathering with a touch of happiness. The essence of giving was reciprocated as the children shared their action songs and showcased an enchanting dance performance.
Nurturing a sense of togetherness, juice and snacks were shared generously, fostering bonds that transcended barriers. The pinnacle of this heartwarming experience was the gracious donation of money and various items from the parishioners of the Mother of God Church, presented to the orphanage head. This gesture underscored a collective commitment to the welfare of the children.
The spirit of compassion continued as the ICYM members extended their visit to Snehadeep Orphanage. Here, the day was filled with action songs and engaging games, further solidifying the connections established earlier. A symbol of unity, the monetary donation and items provided by the parishioners of the Mother of God Church were presented, emphasizing a collaborative effort to effect positive change.
The event was graced by esteemed figures including Prashanth Lewis, the DMYM animator; Praveen D'Cunha, president of the St John Paul 2 deanery; Avit Premson Lobo, DMYM president; and Melvita Christal Pereira, secretary.
