Kundapura, Aug 30: “The huge strength of literature makes us think more and more,” said Dr H B Indrakumar while receiving the Dr H Shantaram Award for literature at the Bhandarkar’s Pre-University College on August 30.

Kundapura Kannada book of glossary was released on the occasion.

Bhandarkar’s College management committee president Dr H Shantaram hoped that the service to literature may continue. Senior members of the board of trustees, Devadas Kamath and Rajendra Tolar were on the dais. Taluk tahsildar Shobhalakshmi released the book of Kundapura Kannada glossary. Dr H Shantaram, award selection committee convener D Rekha gave an introduction.

Bhandarkar’s P U College principal Dr Shubhakarachari welcomed. PU College principal Dr G M Gonda rendered the vote of thanks. Kannada professor Maitri spoke about the Talikandi book. English language professor Rohini H B compered the programme.
