Kundapur, Aug 30: Kundapur Tahsildar Shobhalakshmi inaugurated the Grahalakshmi scheme, launched by the taluk administration and the Department of Children's Development, Kundapur, at Mogaveera Bhavan today.

In her address, she highlighted that the scheme's inaugurations were simultaneously held at 214 locations, including 52 wards, six taluk centers, and one district center. "Out of a total of 2.86 beneficiaries, 2.48 thousand beneficiaries have already registered. The Grahalakshmi scheme will contribute to women's empowerment," she stated.

The event saw the presence of Raghavendra Varnekar, an officer from the Social Welfare Department, along with Manjunath, the Chief Municipal Council Officer, and Sridhar Sheregar, a member. Anuradha Hadimane, the Women and Children's Development Project Officer, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The program was expertly compered by journalist Chandrashekar Beejadi.
