Kundapura, Aug 30: The Gruha Lakshmi scheme was launched by the district administration, district panchayat, taluk panchayat, women and children’s development department and the gram panchayat at Byndoor.
Senior Gruha Lakshmis Chikku Balageri and Sheshi inaugurated the programme. Kundapura sub-divisional officer Rashmi addressed the programme and commended the scheme.
Gram panchayat president Geeta Avinash presided over the programme.
Gram panchayat development officer Renuka Hegde welcomed and compered the programme. Former president of gram panchayat Udaya Kumar Shetty delivered the keynote address. Gram panchayat vice-president Govardhan Jogi rendered the vote of thanks.
Former MLA K Gopal Poojary, Congress block president Pradeep Shetty, Vadamballi Jayarama Shetty and others took part.
A large number of villagers and locals were present.
