Bantwal, Aug 31: "The societal structure during the era of Narayana Guru is a concept almost unimaginable in the context of modern times. Yet, he managed to raise awareness throughout society without causing any friction. This should serve as our guiding model. Narayana Guru's influence should transcend class boundaries and be embraced as an ideal by society at large," stated Rajesh Naik, the MLA of Bantwal.

Naik expressed these sentiments while inaugurating the birthday celebration of Brahmrshi Narayana Guru, organized by the Bantwal taluk administration.

Addressing the gathering, Chetan Mundaje, an assistant professor at Kerala Central University, remarked, "Narayana Guru is the luminary who enlightened the generations that followed. He established an exemplary precedent by opening temples for Shoodras (historically marginalized communities). His legacy continues to inspire self-development."

The event was presided over by Bantwal tahsildar S B Koodalagi. B Sanjeeva Poojary, Shailaja Rajesh, Harish Kotian, Baby Kundar, Devappa Poojary, Ramesh Naik Rayi, and Vijayakumar graced the occasion with their presence.

The gathering was welcomed by Janardhan, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Srikala Karanth. Naveen Benjanapadavu compered the event.
