Brahmavar: Five injured in bus-tempo collision

Brahmavar, Sep 1: Five people were injured in an accident that occurred on Thursday on the national highway near the bus stand between a bus and goods mini tempo.

The injured are Jeethendra, Indrapal, NIrpad, Ustad Ahmed and Sunil who were the passengers in the tempo. Four are admitted to private hospital in Brahmavar while Sunil was taken to KMC Manipal for higher treatment.

Equipment for centering work was unloaded from the tempo at Koteshwara and they were returning while the mishap took place. The bus which was moving towards Brahmavar bus stand from Honnala hit the tempo head-on. The bus passengers escaped unhurt.

A case in this regard is filed in Brahmavar police station.
