Kundapur, Sep 2: “Our ancestors had a profound knowledge of nutrition. Their life spans were a witness to it. Their lifespan used to be between 80 – 90 years. But we get their experience when we are 45 – 50 years old. Our food habits and other factors cause it. Malnutrition is a serious matter. The government is taking action in this direction but we too have the responsibility. We need to create awareness to avoid malnutrition. Balanced food is essential,” said Kundapur additional district and sessions judge Abdul Rahim Hussain Shaikh.

He was speaking after inaugurating the legal information and nutrition campaign held as part of world nutrition month by the taluk legal services committee, advocates association, women and children’s development department, infant development project officer and taluk administration at Kundapur taluk panchayat auditorium on Saturday.
