Mangaluru: World Suicide Prevention Day walkathon on Sep 10

Mangaluru, Sep 2: A walkathon will be held on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10.

The walkathon will be flagged off at 7.30 am from Town Hall. The walkathon route is Town Hall-KS Rao Road, Loyola Hall–St Aloysius PU College.

The dress code is yellow.

Suicide Lifeline (a unit of Susheg Charitable Trust (Regd)) came into effect in Mangaluru on October 2017. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to listen to and assist any one experiencing a rough time in life irrespective of age, gender, or religion.

Creating awareness on this community health crisis is the need of the hour. With this objective in mind, Susheg has conducted sessions on coping with stress, mental health and wellbeing, building resilience, handling emotions and related topics in schools and colleges.
