Brahmavar SMS College Kannada Lecturer K G Narayan Passes Away

Udupi, Aug 10: Fifty-eight-year-old K G Narayan, head, department of Kannada, S M S College, Brahmavar, passed away in a private hospital at Mangalore, following a brief illness.  He is survived by his wife and a son.
 
Narayan was a native of Heggodu in Sagar taluk, settled in Adarsh Nagar, Varamballi village, Brahmavar.  He has been serving as Kannada lecturer in S M S College, Brahmavar, since 1981.  He was actively involved in Mangalore University Kannada Lecturers’ Association and Ratabeedhi Geleyara Balaga, here.  He has also served as director of the student union and organized many national and international seminars.
 
The authorities of S M S College declared Wednesday August 10 a holiday as a mark of respect.
