Karkala: Kabettu Hussein Murder – Three More Arrested

Karkala, Aug 11: Relating to the murder of Hussein from Kabettu here, the policemen have made three more arrests. With this, the number of arrests in the case has reached four.

The men now arrested are Ashraf alias Fazal (25), Badruddin alias Hasainar (28), and Taufeeq (22), all from Bailoor near here. They were arrested from Badamikatte when they were travelling to Bailoor in a Scorpio vehicle owned by Taufeeq, at around 4 am on Wednesday August 10. The policemen had prior information that they were returning to their homes.

Reportedly, the three had fled to Chikmagalur after the death of Husseain. It is gathered that they were returning to their homes to collect money and passports. It is claimed that these persons had kidnapped people twice earlier and collected ransoms. The policemen took the accused to the spot of the incident.

Nine persons had allegedly got involved with the said kidnap and murder. The policemen have been trying to nab the other five.
