Ninth day's Novena held at Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica, Harihara

Harihara, Sep 7: The ninth day’s Novena at Our Lady of Health, Minor Basilica, Harihara, Davanagere District, Diocese of Shimoga, began at 5:30 pm with a Rosary, procession and floral homages to Harihara Matha. Then Basilica rector and parish priest Fr George K A led the Novena.

At 6:30 pm, Dr Robert Miranda, Bishop of Diocese of Gulbarga celebrated the Holy Eucharist. He preached his homily on the theme: “Mother Mary is an inspiration for hospitality."

In his homily, he explained how Blessed Virgin Mary became an inspiration for hospitality in her life. He said that her visit to Elizabeth, and her quality of helping without complaining is really an inspiration for all.

Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga concelebrated the Holy Eucharist. Fr Roman Pinto, Fr Venil D'Silva, Fr Richard SJ, Fr Franklin D'Souza, Fr Rayappa, Fr Ronald Furtado OCD, Fr Ronald D'Cunha, Fr Shanthraj SJ, Fr Prashanth OFM CAP, Fr William OFM CAP, Fr Alphonse Lobo, Fr Duming Dias, Fr Alvin Stanislaus and Fr George K A concelebrated the Holy Eucharist.

After the mass, Fr Franklin D'Souza, Fr Roman Pinto led the healing prayers and benediction and the priests prayed for the pilgrims.

Rector of the Minor Basilica Fr George K A thanked Fr Duming Dias.
