Mangaluru: Water supply from Netravati vented dam soon – Minister Bosaraju

Mangaluru, Sep 9: Bosaraju, minister for small irrigation, science and technology inspected the work of vented dam that is being built across Netravati river at Harekala.

Appreciating the work, Bosaraju said that the dam will be put into use soon. Meanwhile, DYFI leader K H Hameed appealed to the minister to provide water as soon as possible to Harekala village.

Minister said that salt water retainer wall be built at Uliya, which is under the threat of submerging in water. He also visited Amblamogaru Gattikudru area and assured locals that dam will be built and water will be supplied to the villagers.

MLCs Harish Kumar, Manjunatha Bhandary, U T Iftikar Ali, engineer of small irrigation department and others were present.
