Bantwal, Sep 9: The Young Catholic Students (YCS) of St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan parish, organized ‘Kontha Sanghi Morye Sarshin’ a rosary craft making competition on September 3 for all the Catechism students of the parish. The event was held in view of the feast of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary and aimed to celebrate the occasion with creativity and enthusiasm.

The competition received a decent response with more than 35 participants showcasing their talent in three different categories. The participants displayed their skills and creativity by crafting beautiful rosaries using various materials and techniques.

After the festive Mass held on September 8, the winners were announced, and prizes were distributed to the deserving participants. To further highlight the talent and hard work put in by the participants, an exhibition of the crafts prepared during the competition was arranged in the portico of the church. The exhibition added colour and exuberance to the celebration of the Feast of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary. The parishioners and guests were able to admire and appreciate the intricate details and artistic skills displayed in each crafted rosary.

The exhibition not only served as a platform to showcase the creative abilities of the participants but also provided an opportunity for others to learn and be inspired by their work. It was a testament to the unity and spirit of the community, as everyone came together to celebrate the feast and appreciate the talents within their midst.
