Mangaluru: Anti-drug street play staged at Neermarga church grounds

Neermarga, Sep 10: ICYM and YCS members staged an anti-drug street play at Neermarga church grounds under the leadership of parish priest Fr Paul Pinto. The street play was directed by YCS animator Arun D’Souza.

A short play ‘Havn Amali Naim’ (I am not an addict) was staged at the Sunday school classroom written by YCS president Lanson Pereira, secretary Ashney Nazareth and cultural secretary Colin Saldanha. YCS animators Merlyn Pereira and Paul D’Souza directed the short play. 

Paul D’Souza and Cynthia Renjal gave talks to class 5-10 students on problems of substance addiction, impact of drugs on society and finding solutions to get rid from the addiction. Parish priest Fr Paul Pinto gave his message and thanked the YCS and ICYM members for creating awareness about the drug menace. YCS members Anil Saldanha and Pearl D’Souza compered the programme.
